Report: Shawn Michaels Involved In Backstage War Of Words Over Racial Inequality

The Heartbreak Kid is likely not going to break the heart of anyone supporting the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests. According to a report by Fightful, Shawn Michaels got into a heated debate (that has also been described as “more of a discussion than an argument”) with a fellow producer backstage about racial inequality and the current social climate.
Over the past weekend at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, the unnamed second party was heard exclaiming that “everyone already gets treated the same.” According to the report, that set HBK off instantly, and HBK was said to break down systematic prejudice and inequality to the offending party. NXT Superstars started hearing about the discussion the next day, and NXT Head Triple H did give a speech about the movement to the roster backstage at the show, which could have sparked the original offhand comments.
The report also claims that HBK and the unnamed producer worked together without incident after the debate, so we can only hope that some of Shawn’s speech got through.
