Report: Rob Gronkowski Close To Signing With WWE
Rob Gronkowski could finally be on his way to WWE.
Ryan Satin reported on this week’s episode of WWE Backstage that WWE is in talks with the former NFL great, with a deal being finalized soon. Satin stated the former New England Patriot could be making an appearance on WWE Smackdown on FOX on March 20th in New Orleans.
Gronkowski has flirted with WWE in the past, appearing in a physical confrontation at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 where he helped his friend and WWE superstar Mojo Rawley score a win the in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Gronk, who has been part of several television ventures outside of pro football, has been public about wanting to do more with the WWE for some time. He currently serves as an NFL commentator for FOX Sports. Gronkowski was seen in photos with WWE executives Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at this year’s Super Bowl.
