Report: Rhea Ripley Back In Australia After Work Visa Expires

Rhea Ripley dropped the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36 and now it looks like she’s out of the title picture for an extended amount of time due to returning home to Australia.

According to PWInsider.com, Ripley will be off of WWE TV for an unknown period of time due to her work visa expiring. It was noted that she had returned to Australia this week to get a new visa, but it’s unknown when she will return once things are in order. NXT will reportedly tape several weeks of TV in Florida this week without Ripley being factored into those plans.

While it remains a topic of speculation, it is possible that Ripley’s issues with her visa could have been why Charlotte Flair beat her for the NXT Women’s Championship this past weekend.

It is confirmed that Charlotte Flair will have a new challenger after this week’s new episode of NXT, where the number one contender will be crowned in a six-woman Ladder Match. Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, Io Shirai, Candice LeRae and Dakota Kai will meet on tomorrow’s broadcast in a match that was originally scheduled to take place at NXT TakeOver: Tampa this past weekend.
