Rey Mysterio reportedly needs no surgery for his triceps tear, could be out for up to two months.

Going into Monday Night Raw last night, the expectation was that Seth Rollins would face Rey Mysterio in one final match with Seth Rollins. However, at the top of the show, it was revealed that Rey Mysterio would not be in the match and his son, Dominik, would instead take his place.

WWE claimed that Mysterio has suffered a triceps tear and according to a new report by Dave Meltzer, the injury is real but will not require surgery as it is not as serious as a full tear. Reportedly, Mysterio is expected to be out of action for two months or less and will recover through rehabilitation instead of full surgery.

Rey Mysterio’s former Tag Team Championship partner, Edge, suffered a full triceps tear at WWE Backlash in his main event match with Randy Orton in June and due to that injury actually being a full tear and surgery being required, he does not yet have a full timetable for return.
