Monday night during WWE RAW, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina were in action against Eva Marie and Duodrop. During the match, a scary spot happened, as it was clear that “The Queen of Harts” had somehow hurt her leg. Medical officials checked on her during the match and helped her to the back. Natalya tweeted about the injury earlier this week, and a new report suggests that it is fairly serious.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Natalya is expected to miss “a few weeks” of action following an MRI on her ankle. It’s unclear how this absence will line up with WWE SummerSlam on August 21.
If everything goes according to plan, Natalya might be cleared to compete in time for the pay-per-view. If she does, she already has her sights set on a potential opponent. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, she named Shotzi and Nox as a team she’d like to face at WWE SummerSlam.
“We’ve got [Tegan]Nox and Shotzi [Blackheart] here,” said Natalya. “And to me, it’s like everything that I’ve ever stood for in WWE is about not only honoring my past, but also moving forward to the future. So if those women would like to challenge us, there’s certainly nothing wrong with us kicking their ass in Vegas, and I look forward to doing that.”
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
