Report: Multiple Wrestlers Preesent At September AEW Tapings Test Positive For COVID-19

All Elite Wrestling - AEW Being The Elite

As professional wrestling continues to try and press on amid the global coronavirus pandemic, a new report reveals multiple talents present at an AEW taping in early September have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a new report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, in conjunction with Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360, multiple wrestlers and talent present at All Elite Wrestling’s September 9 tapings tested positive for COVID-19 in the weeks that followed. It is not known if those tests we’re separately conducted or if they were conducted during tapings.

Reportedly, other talents are ill or showing symptoms but it is unsure if they’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Some of the talents are reportedly names that were brought in for the last set of AEW Dark tapings and many are talents that are not contracted and also wrestle on third-party independents.

New: @SeanRossSapp and I are jointly reporting, via multiple sources, several individuals who present at #AEW tapings earlier this month have since tested positive for COVID-19, including talent seen on AEW Dark.

It's entirely plausible talent were kept off this week's show for precautionary reasons, and didn't necessarily test positive.

But we can report there were multiple positive cases in the past couple of weeks involving talent who were present at tapings earlier this month. #AEW
