In the principal event, Jon Moxley was seen defending his AEW World Title against Cope in an intense Street Fight.
Moxley emerged victorious and is on the books to defend his championship gold against Swerve Strickland in the subsequent week’s show.
In the most recent segment of Wrestling Observer Live, it was shared by Bryan Alvarez that Moxley had driven to the show covering a near eleven-hour journey as an alternative to flying which was not a viable option due to the prevailing weather conditions.
In Alvarez’s words, “There were several individuals that were supposed to fly in and they couldn’t, so they drove in…..I believe Jon Moxley’s one of the people that drove like 11 hours to get to the building because they couldn’t fly in.”
