Report: Johnny Gargano And Kyle O’Reilly To Have Dark Match At WWE SmackDown Tonight

With the WWE contracts of NXT’s Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly expiring in just a few short weeks, the two men are on their way to SmackDown tonight.
This morning, John Pollock of POST Wrestling took to social media to reveal that Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly will be headed to WWE SmackDown tonight to participate in a dark match.
“Per sources – Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly are scheduled for a dark match tonight in Evansville at the Smackdown tapings,” John Pollock said in a tweet.
While it wasn’t a dark match, this situation seems very familiar with what happened to Adam Cole back in August. The former NXT Champion was brought to SmackDown to meet with Vince McMahon backstage regarding his future with the company.
Adam Cole chose to depart WWE weeks later and made his All Elite Wrestling debut at All Out. Will we see a similar situation play out with Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly? We’ll find out soon enough.
