John Cena is set to embark on his farewell tour in the coming month, beginning with the inaugural episode of WWE RAW on Netflix.
The year 2025 represents Cena’s concluding year as a WWE active participant, with his last matches scheduled at Elimination Chamber: Toronto, Royal Rumble 2025, and WrestleMania 41. This impending conclusion has triggered speculations regarding his ultimate opponent at The Showcase Of Immortals.
Wrestling news outlet, WrestleVotes recently reported that a possible face-off between Cena and ex-WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul, was under consideration for WrestleMania 41.
Nevertheless, the potential Cena vs. Paul matchup, despite being a hot topic, reportedly faced “an overwhelming negativity” from multiple members of the WWE’s creative team.
The dominant opinion is that Cena’s final WrestleMania opponent should not be this matchup.
The report states, “Sources intimate recent chatters of a Logan Paul vs. John Cena clash at WrestleMania have, minimally, been deliberated.” The report furthers, “However, the idea has been faced with major disapproval from several within the creative team. The consensus is that Cena’s final WrestleMania match shouldn’t be this.”
