Report – How CM Punk & The Elite Were Kept Separate At AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II

While CM Punk and The Elite were all backstage at Sunday night’s AEW x NJPW II Forbidden Door pay-per-view event for their respective matches, they were kept far apart.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were put on a “completely different” side of the arena prior to their matches. There was no interaction between CM Punk and The Elite at the show.

CM Punk defeated Satoshi Kojima at the pay-per-view event, while the Young Bucks were featured in a ten-man tag team match. Kenny Omega faced off against Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Championship, a match which “The Cleaner” wound up losing.
