Early 2020 painted a much different picture for WWE and one superstar in particular. Everything changed when the Coronavirus attacked.

Riddick Moss recently returned in July of 2020 and has been competing on WWE Main Event, but earlier this year, he was brought up to Monday Night Raw and even had a brief run on the brand with the WWE 24/7 Championship.

According to a report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Paul Heyman had huge plans for Riddick Moss earlier in the year. However, COVID-19 forced Riddick Moss to put some family matters ahead of his blossoming WWE career.

Riddick Moss sat out of WWE action for several months as he cares for a family member that is at advanced risk of COVID-19 due to cystic fibrosis, but this wasn’t the only reason that Riddick Moss was sidelined.

According to the report, he was sat out by Paul Heyman in an effort to deflect any heat that would come his way for making the personal decision to take some time away from the squared circle. In the time since then, Paul Heyman has been removed as the Executive Director of WWE Monday Night Raw. Both Raw and SmackDown are now overseen by Bruce Prichard.

The good news for Riddick Moss is he has had some major wins on WWE Main Event over Superstars such as Mustafa Ali, Humberto Carrillo, and Titus O’Neil.
