The identity of the mystery man who debuted on the December 21 episode of AEW Dynamite has been confirmed.

On Wednesday night, Swerve Strickland introduced the world to his new group, Mogul Affiliates. He stood by as Parker Boudreaux and another unnamed powerhouse attacked Keith Lee. The segment ended with Strickland hitting Lee with a Swerve Stomp and standing tall with the duo, along with Rick Ross.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that, according to sources, the mystery man is Granden Goetzman, a former second-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011. Goetzman played baseball up until last year, and he had made it to the AAA level with the Rays before he spent some time in the farm systems of both the St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros.

Sapp cited sources who noted that Goetzman has been training at Jay Lethal’s school, and his debut had been planned out for at least a few weeks. Goetzman had reportedly been with the company for “quite some time” in anticipation of his debut.
