After a year-long delay, AEW wrestler Darby Allin is gearing up to ascend Mount Everest in mere days. His brave endeavor was previously postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Last year, 2024, Allin was set to start his ascent. Nonetheless, a foot injury attained during a competitive wrestling match forced the former TNT Champion to reshuffle his plans.
A news leak by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals that Allin has scheduled the beginning of his climb for April 15. Typically climber’s journey to the summit spans around two months, however, for a novice mountaineer like Allin, it may take a tad longer.
Everest, while renowned, is not without its risks. Over 340 adventurers have met their end endeavoring to conquer the peak, their bodies often remain stranded due to the mountain’s perilous conditions.
A section of the Everest mount has gained the moniker ‘Rainbow Valley,’ owing to the cluster of perished climbers who lay there, their colorful attire providing a stark contrast to the snowy landscape.
Another memorable location on the mountain is marked by ‘Green Boots’ – the nickname for an unidentified climber who lost his life in 1996. There is speculation that the climber was Tsewang Paljor, though the identity remains uncertain.
