News has emerged that Cody Rhodes sustained a legitimate injury at the WWE Elimination Chamber event in Toronto, as a result of an altercation involving popular music artist Travis Scott.
The final moments of the pay-per-view event saw Rhodes the target of an attack by Scott, The Rock, and the newly heel-turned John Cena.
Renowned wrestling commentator, Dave Meltzer, revealed on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio that Rhodes endured a ruptured eardrum and a black eye during the chaotic scene.
Meltzer was “fairly certain” that it was indeed Travis Scott who caused the damage to Rhodes’ eardrum by delivering a blow to the WWE Champion’s face.
Despite the injuries, Rhodes is slated to make an appearance in this week’s WWE SmackDown episode to discuss the brutal attack by Scott, Cena, and Rock.
Cena and The Rock are not scheduled to make their presence on the show and it is predicted that Cena won’t make a personal appearance till the latter part of March.
