Recent reports have revealed that the surgical procedure undergone by Bronson Reed, subsequent to his injury at Survivor Series: WarGames, posed more challenges than initially estimated.
At the pay-per-view event in November, Reed experienced a severe ankle injury as a result of a dive from atop the dual-cage structure.
The latest episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio” confirmed that Reed’s surgery turned out to be “more intricate than expected during the initial stages.”
Bryan Alvarez also mentioned that the surgery has been successfully completed and Reed is making progress in his recovery, though his return to action will still take several months.
Reed underwent the operation in Birmingham, Alabama, a preferred location for many Superstars including Triple H, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes who have previously had surgeries there.
Reed received a significant boost in his career in 2024, having claimed victory at the Andre the Giant Battle Royal earlier in the year, with a promotion on RAW following shortly after.
