Report – AEW’s Long Term Plans For Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita (w/ Don Callis) defeated Damon Ace in 1 minute and 29 seconds last night on AEW Dynamite.

Takeshita betrayed The Elite and joined forces with Don Callis last month at AEW Double Or Nothing. The live AEW audience has since taken to booing both Takeshita and Callis when they cut a promo, leading to them yelling at the fans.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, although Takeshita is currently a heel, AEW’s long-term plan is to eventually establish him as a top babyface in the company.

AEW sees Takeshita as a huge star and the plan is that as soon as he turns face again in the future, he will be pushed as a main event babyface.
