Matt Cardona is poised to join the ranks of All Elite Wrestling (#AllElite) soon.
His upcoming battle against Chris Jericho for the prestigious ROH World Title at ROH Final Battle 2024, set to occur this Friday, is setting the stage for this possibility.
In the latest broadcast of Wrestling Observer Radio, reputable sports journalist Dave Meltzer pointed out that AEW is quite keen on having Cardona on their roster. The intention is to ink a deal with Cardona before he steps into the ring for his match at ROH Final Battle 2024.
Although Cardona has made a few appearances in AEW, he has yet to cement his position with an official contract.
In Meltzer’s words, “There was at least talk of Cardona getting an AEW contract. I don’t know if it’s gonna happen or not, or if he’s already agreed. And I guess we’ll find out, obviously, if he beats Jericho. Which I don’t expect to happen, but if he does, obviously, they won’t do it unless he’s under contract.“
