Renee Paquette departed WWE in August of 2020 following SummerSlam. She later revealed that her non-compete with the company stretched much further than your typical 90-day non-compete most wrestlers have when departing the company. Almost a year later, we find out she’s still under that non-compete…but it’s almost up.
Speaking with Wrestling Inc. Daily, Paquette confirmed that while her non-compete with WWE is almost up, she still has a good relationship with the company:
“My non-compete with WWE is nearly up,” Renee Paquette said. “I still have a good standing relationship with WWE. There’s no ill-will or bad blood or anything like that.”
As for continuing her career in professional wrestling, Paquette doesn’t see herself ever truly separating herself from the industry:
“I don’t ever want to separate myself from professional wrestling,” Renee Paquette said. “I know that’s where my fanbase comes from; I know that’s essentially going to always be my bread and butter — and I love that. I love professional wrestling, so I’m not looking to ‘get away’ from it by any stretch.”
