WWE Hall of Famer Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs has paid tribute to the late Bray Wyatt, who was taken well before his time.
Wyatt died in August of this year at the age of 36. The former Universal Champion was pulled from WWE programming due to health issues earlier this year.
On a recent edition of the “Wrestle Binge” podcast, Jacobs spoke about Wyatt and their feud when the Wyatt character arrived on the main roster in 2013. He said,
“He was just a great guy. You know, backstage Bray was always joking. He was one of those people who never had a bad day. Of course, he had his first big storyline in WWE with Kane accumulating in an Infernal Match at the Staples Center. Just again, just a tremendous performer and it is just very sad.
“I mean, that whole Fiend character and everything. I mean, he was, you know, he understood that character and really, you know, when the Wyatt Family was there, you know, and I remember they had the fireflies.
“I remember one time I was leaving the arena in Denver and the whole arena was singing along with the entrance and everything. It’s very sad, taken well before his time.”
Jacobs was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. His most recent match saw Kane compete in the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble match that was won by Edge.
