Reigning Wonder of Stardom Champion Arisa Hoshiki has announced her retirement from in-ring competition at age 24. In statements on social media, Hoshiki disclosed that head and neck injuries have forced her to step away and that the ongoing pandemic robbed her of a chance to say goodbye inside the ring.

I’ve not been well for about a year, but I was able to continue because I enjoyed doing professional wrestling, and my feelings helped keep me going. However, since my physical condition has deteriorated this year and I have accumulated various injuries, I am out of balance mentally and physically, so I can’t continue.

STARDOM also released a statement on the retirement, wishing Arisa the best in her future and announcing that her title has been vacated. Hoshiki last appeared on a major stage at Wrestle Kingdom 14 during a dark match, and last competed in general on February 16 in a multi-woman tag team encounter.
