Jacob Fatu’s health condition became a topic of concern subsequent to a leg incident he experienced during the table bit in the climax of WWE SummerSlam 2024.
As we’ve frequently documented here at eWn, Fatu was aiming to portray a leg injury post the table incident, yet it’s still unclear if this was markedly what was depicted on the television.
Wrestling Observer Radio’s latest episode featured Dave Meltzer who cast some light on Fatu’s injury condition. He articulated,
“The situation doesn’t seem bleak, in whatever context one might understand that.”
Meltzer further confirmed conjectures that Fatu was intending to dramatize the table incident outside the wrestling ring in order to distance himself from the making a comeback Roman Reigns.
His statement added, “It was conveyed to me that he was in discomfort, but also that it wasn’t particularly detrimental.”
In the post-show press gathering of SummerSlam 2024, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer Triple H shared that Fatu was “subjected to a rough bout” during the match.
The Samoan pro wrestler was later seen sporting a medical boot, despite his ability to ambulate on the same leg which had suffered the table impact.
If it is true that Fatu had sustained a leg injury, his ability to ambulate on it just a day post the show is likely indicative of a positive prognosis.
