WWE RAW (1/29/2024)
CM Punk opens the show with his arm in a sling. Loud “CM Punk” chants. He looks at the WrestleMania sign. He came real close on Saturday night, and felt like he had it in the palm of his hand. He isn’t mad at anybody. Punk congratulates Cody Rhodes. Sometimes it isn’t what you deserve, but what you have earned, and he hopes he finishes the story. While he came close, close don’t count. He never believed in luck. Punk feels unlucky, because in the course of the Rumble, he tore his right tricep.
As much as he asked to be allowed to wrestle, it isn’t in the cards. He doesn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him. His goal since he was a kid was that he would main event WrestleMania, and maybe that won’t happen. He has a friend who has cancer, and he goes visit and sits with him while he has his chemotherapy. He is never down about it. To him, this injury is just a flesh wound. He had the opportunity to fight in the UFC, and he accepted that because it scared the crap out of him.
Punk was scared to come back to WWE in ten years, but he had too. WrestleMania might haunt him for the rest of his life, but this is just a bump in the road. The real “Best In The World” are those who fight cancer and fight fires. He is going to keep doing this until the wheels fall off. Punk does not focus on the negatives and those who say no. WrestleMania XL isn’t on the cards, but there is always next year. Drew McIntyre interrupts his emotional message.
Drew McIntyre has said some terrible things about Punk, and he meant them. He is a poison, but he can relate to what he was saying. He has never been much of a spiritual person, but he prayed for this and it happened. After Punk eliminated him, he couldn’t sleep, but when he heard the news of his injury, he slept like a baby. He won the battle, but he did not win the war. So now, he is going to live CM Punk’s dream, again.
CM Punk says he is going to rehab, and he will main event WrestleMania, but he would be the first order of business. A fight breaks out between them, but Drew targets the arm. Sami Zayn saves Punk from sustaining anymore damage. Zayn helps Punk up off the mat.
Backstage, Rhea Ripley tells the Judgment Day that they need to remind everyone who they are. No more distractions. DIY are fired up to challenge for the tag team championships.

Damian Priest wants to apologize to R-Truth for what happened at the Royal Rumble, so he invites him out to the ring. R-Truth shows up and looks worried, but is told he won’t be hurt. Truth says he couldn’t sleep because of what happened, so he converted Priest’s cash to cryptocurrency, and liquidated his assets, so he is ready to go.
Priest says they are family, which is what Truth has been saying all along. Damian tells him he’s not part of the Judgment Day, but he always liked him, which is why he won’t be the one to do this. JD McDonagh attacks Truth from behind, so The Miz comes to his aid, but they are both destroyed.
