Reason Why IMPACT Wrestling Didn’t Immediately Air On AXS TV
Last week it was confirmed that IMPACT Wrestling will begin airing on AXS TV starting after Bound For Glory, which takes place on Oct. 20 in Chicago.
This comes after Anthem Sports & Entertainment acquired AXS TV.
PWinsider.com reports that the reason why IMPACT didn’t immediately shift over to AXS TV is due to them finishing commitments to the Pursuit Channel.
New Anthem Sports & Entertainment Hires
Anthem Sports & Entertainment, which is the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling, has hired Randy Brown as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Peter Cohen at Senior Vice President, Programming Strategy & Content Development.
Both men had been working as strategic advisors for the company before the move. Prior to joining the company, Cohen has worked for HBO, MTV and Much Music while Brown had previously worked with ESPN.
