This week on WWE Monday Night RAW, Randy Orton was scheduled to face Matt Hardy in a No Holds Barred match. Last week, Orton viciously attacked Hardy after he questioned the Viper’s assault on Edge. Orton came to the ring and said his match with Hardy “is not going to happen.” Hardy came to the ring, wearing a neck brace, and again asked Orton why he attacked Edge. Hardy said the doctors won’t clear him, but he’s here to fight because he has grit. Orton told Hardy he should have left when he could still do so on his own two feet. Hardy got in the ring and Orton called him a sitting duck. The Viper said nobody will ever understand his attack on Edge; he loves Edge like a brother. Orton said he’s sorry. He left the ring with a remorseful look on his face.

Hardy got a chair and Orton came back to the ring. Hardy dared Orton to finish him. He swung the chair and Orton ducked. The Viper snapped Hardy’s neck over the rope and dropped him with an RKO. Orton grabbed a chair and brutally hit Hardy with it several times. The Viper took Hardy’s neck brace off and prepared to hit Hardy with another Con-Chair-To. But he stopped. He left the ring but he ran back and dragged Hardy to the floor. Orton laughed and hit Hardy with two Con-Chair-Tos on the steel steps. Orton then yelled, “I’m sorry” at Hardy.
Horror on #Raw.
