Recently, Randy Orton made his presence felt on Cody Rhodes’ podcast, titled “What Do You Wanna Talk About”. In the conversation, Orton openly expressed his wish to face off against John Cena once more, before Cena hangs up his wrestling boots for good in 2025.

Here are the important points from the podcast discussion:

While discussing the possible re-match with Cena: Orton stated, “I was at the tail end of our chat and I popped the question, ‘What do you think [about another match]?’ Honestly, I had no inkling [about Cena’s retirement], he could continue as long as his physique permits. Naturally, he’s engaged in various pursuits, while I am engrossed with my wrestling life. I respect his venture into Hollywood, and I would follow suit if my responsibilities permitted. But I voiced, ‘What do you think?’ And his response was classic Cena – ‘Randy, have you ever seen me lobbying for anything? I always strive to make the most of every opportunity,’ which truthfully mirror my own sentiments.”

Regarding his longing for another fight with Cena: Orton added, “I’m excited at the prospect of sharing the screen with him again and creating a storyline worthy of our history. Even though we faced off numerous times in the past, to the point where it almost seemed too much, fans, while looking back realize, ‘Orton versus Cena – That was an extraordinary rivalry.’ The prospect of replaying those moments brings the element of nostalgia… And I believe, we could entertain the crowd immensely and create a memorable event with that.”
