During a recent guest appearance on the popular wrestling-themed podcast, “Wrestle Binge,” Randy Orton had high praises for upcoming wrestler Austin Theory. He advocated his potential and voiced his optimism in Theory’s future development, expressing his firm belief that Theory possesses the talent and dedication to eventually become a World Champion.
Nonetheless, Orton expressed doubts about the possibility of any future wrestler reproving his record as the youngest world champion in WWE history, an impressive accomplishment he earned at the young age of 24.
Sharing his thoughts, Orton said, “While I lack the ability to predict the future, Austin Theory has a certain youthful energy and an appealing image. We’ve had many discussions and I understand his thought process. I’ve observed his decision-making skills and noticed that he doesn’t fall into the pitfalls and distractions that I struggled with during my early career. He seems to have a clearer focus and a stronger drive towards his goals. I am confident that he will unquestionably achieve the title of World Champion someday. However, when it comes to someone breaking my record as the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, I find that unlikely. This is simply because I obtained that title under uncommon circumstances at the age of 24. I doubt there are any future contenders who possess the right combination of youth and skill … Hence, I believe my record will remain unchallenged for a long period of time, if not, indefinitely.”
