Speaking on a recent episode of the “Cheap Heat” podcast, Gable revealed that Randy Orton, the esteemed 14-time World Champion, has openly expressed his admiration for him.
While many have drawn comparisons between Gable and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, Orton insisted that the former Alpha Academy leader is a talent of his own. He stressed that Gable is more than just the next Kurt Angle; he is the unique and exceptional Chad Gable.
Gable recounted, “He approached me in the locker room after a bout and told me, ‘You’ve made it, man. The whole ‘next Kurt Angle’ comparison is done with. You’re not the following Kurt Angle; you’re Chad Gable. You’ve discovered your true identity and you’re proudly showcasing it to everyone now.’ I was genuinely moved by those words, especially since they were coming from an icon like Randy, who himself is highly respected by all. His words meant the world to me.”
Gable is scheduled to participate in the 2024 Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match tomorrow evening, set to take place at the renowned Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
