Raj Dhesi, better known by his WWE persona Jinder Mahal, is set to make a comeback to the ring following his release from his WWE contract in April. His departure had come as a shock to many fans and insiders, particularly given his notable collaboration with household names like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Seth Rollins earlier in the same year.
The former WWE Champion is no longer bound by the terms of his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE, which previously prevented him from participating outside of WWE events. This means he is now free to compete in other wrestling events.
Making the announcement himself on his Twitter account, Dhesi revealed that, starting July 18, he is eligible to engage in wrestling bouts for other promotions. The breaking of his chains was announced with the potent words, “Hindered no more. 90 days are up 🚨.”
Dhesi, or rather “The Maharaja,” as he’s known to fans, is slated to wrestle at the forthcoming Black Label Pro event. The event named “Old Habits Die Screaming” is set to take place on July 26 at the Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago, Illinois. This will mark his first match since his departure from WWE.
His tweet read,
“Hindered no more. 90 days are up 🚨.”
