In the WWE Battleground 2017, Raj Dhesi engaged in a Punjabi Prison match with Randy Orton, subsequently voicing his opinion about Vince McMahon, who left before the match concluded.
The one previously known as Jinder Mahal, managed to retain his WWE Championship title despite the challenging structure of the Punjabi Prison match. He expressed his disappointment regarding McMahon’s presence at the match during a conversation on Maven’s YouTube channel.
Here are some highlighted excerpts from the podcast:
Regarding McMahon’s conspicuous absence towards the end of the match: “Vince was essentially the audience for whom we were wrestling. Imagine the letdown when me, Randy [and] Great Khali realized he had left before the match ended. That was quite disrespectful in my opinion. Randy echoed the sentiment, asking if McMahon was upset? To which, Michael [Hayes] simply said, ‘No. He just left.’”
Talking about his rapport with McMahon: “Early in my career, I used to keep distance from Vince due to fear. Throughout this phase, however, I had the opportunity to work closely with him.”
During a recent episode of the “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, wrestler Grayson Waller showcased his ambitious plans for the forthcoming year.
After his triumphant year in 2024, teaming up with Austin Theory and securing the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, Waller stated his intent to scale even higher peaks in 2025.
Waller expressed, “My inherent drive forces me to always be pursuing something more. Even though I’ve accomplished substantial milestones and even won a championship at WrestleMania, for my peace of mind and motivation, I need to desire more, to feel that what I’ve achieved till now is not sufficient. I believe 2025 is going to be a monumental year for Grayson Waller.”
He further elaborated, “In anticipation of the upcoming Survivor Series in Vancouver, I find myself drawn towards its sheer scale and grandeur. I see it and know ‘That’s where I want to be next year.’ I’m fueled by this energy, eagerly watching every show, every match, every move – like the OG Bloodline versus The Bloodline – with the aim to be there in the limelight next year.”
