WWE Superstar R-Truth has expressed his desire to explore reprising a heel character in WWE, despite feeling that such a scenario will likely not take place.

Now, aged 52, R-Truth is one of WWE’s fan favourites, highly appreciated for his hilarious performances consistently leading to ‘breaking’ scenes on television.

During a recent segment on the “Insight” podcast, the host raised the question of whether R-Truth may opt for a heel turn before his glorious career ends. In response, R-Truth made the following remarks,

“The selfish part of me would love to turn heel and be a heel, but the majority of me is like, I could never be a heel. People would think it’s cool if I did something bad, if I did something heelish, they would think it’s cool.”

Additionally, R-Truth reflected on his 2011 heel turn, a pivotal moment when he lit a cigarette on RAW just after betraying his then tag team partner, John Morrison. Commenting on this past event, he declared,

“I smoked a cigarette, and they thought that was the coolest thing on TV. To be a heel you have to get that real, genuine hatred heel heat. Mine would be more of like, they will want me to bash somebody’s head in. Selfishly, I would love to see it one time, but I don’t have to.”

Following his heel turn in 2011, R-Truth found himself amid a supposed conspiracy against him within WWE. This subsequently led to his transformation into a character with more comedic elements, followed by a turn face.
