You can find key takeaways from the podcast right here:

Regarding his experience with the infection: R-Truth stated, “It felt like it was [the end] at one time, especially when the infection occurred. It was perceived by many that I had only torn my quad tendon, but when I went to have the stitches removed a few weeks later seeing the wound was not healing, they discovered I was dealing with five different types of bacteria including staph and MRSA, along with their variants. It was a dire situation,” he stated. “In fact, the doctor even declined to give me a high five. As to how serious my condition was, there was a point where the doctor thought my leg might have to be amputated if the infection wasn’t controlled quickly. Throughout the ordeal, I was contemplating whether I would ever be able to return to wrestling and how I would adapt if my career ended abruptly due to this.”

Discussing his future wrestling timeline: R-Truth shared, “I truly enjoy being in the ring. I believe I will follow in Rey Mysterio’s footsteps in this regard and let my body guide me on when to stop. Currently, my health and fitness have never been better, I feel both physically and mentally clear. I can still perform my signature back flips and splits and there are numerous tricks from my repertoire that this generation of fans has yet to see me perform. Given the chance, I am ready to prove that I can still deliver mesmerizing moves in the ring.”
