In a recent conversation on the podcast, “My Mom’s Basement,” QT Marshall reflected on his bout with Big Boom! AJ at AEW Full Gear 2024, labeling it as one of the standout pre-show cases ever.
Marshall admitted he currently does not possess a wrestling contract but expressed his interest in more bouts.
Highlights from the podcast can be found below:
Discussing his future plans: “Regarding my future, I’m unsure. I had a conversation with Tony. I believe the whole Doom concept has some potential [laughs]. It’s unfortunate that it was a mere replication of his idea, or just an absurd version against his, but at the end of the day, I believe that the entire presentation may have resonated slightly for me but also the audience, giving me a sense of tranquility. I guess we might stick to that. I can’t ascertain it. I still lack a wrestling contract. I’m unsure. I would enjoy wrestling occasionally, as long as it doesn’t conflict with my backstage duties. If I had the choice, I would maybe wrestle a little more often.”
When asked if he would wrestle in AEW again: “That’s uncertain, let’s wait and see. As I’ve stated, I’m taking one day at a time. I’m still relishing what transpired [at AEW Full Gear], we’ll see. I think I need to talk to Tony and find out what he envisions. I’m hoping that I won’t have to pitch anything to him. It would be fantastic if he initiated the conversation and said, ‘This is what I propose::.’ That would be pretty cool. But considering the caliber of our roster and the exceptional talent we possess, I’m not overly expectant [laughs], so let’s see.”
Whilst appearing on the “Ropes N Riffs” podcast, Kevin Lacerda, vocalist for It Lives, It Breathes, expressed his ambition to perform Will Ospreay’s “Elevated” theme at a wrestling event.
Lacerda stated, “I don’t have any predispositions to imagine that that would something that would ever be actually happened, but I’m allowed to… I would love and want to manifest, on a podcast or whatever in my own mind to want to play my net, the only final level for me. When it comes to that stuff is to play Will Ospreay to the ring live. Even when I see Will do what he does when the crowd does the Ospreay chant back to him, I’m like, that’s exactly how I would have done it. So if I never get a chance to do this with him, at least I know he’s taking care of business. He’s engaging that crowd with his hands like a maestro, the exact way that I would have done it if I was there doing it every single night live performing for him.”
