In 2019, QT Marshall became a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) when the promotion first began. However, he left the organization in 2023, only to return later and is presently holding the position of Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination.
Recently, while providing his insights during an appearance on Konnan’s “Keepin It 100” podcast, Marshall uncovered the most prominent misunderstanding about Tony Khan’s AEW. He claimed that the perception that the ‘inmates run the asylum’ was incorrect. Only specific talents, who have earned the respect, converse with Tony. There are some talents who, as per his opinion, might have not earned that respect yet, but Tony’s openness to listen to everyone is commendable. He expressed that talents tend to forecast their potential future roles rather than focusing on the fans’ current perception of them – an insight he gained recently.
Continuing his discussion, Marshall stated that while the ‘inmates’ or the talent do have some inputs, Tony does not always blindly agree to all the suggestions. The scenario applies even to Chris Jericho. There is a constant equitable discourse in the workings, contrary to popular belief. He concluded by mentioning that there are quite a few talents who don’t even attempt to contribute ideas, usually the ones who criticize the system.
