WWE Hall of Fame inductee, ‘Diamond’ Dallas Page, reportedly declined MJF’s plea to utilize the Diamond Cutter, so states AEW producer QT Marshall.
During a recent episode of the YouTube show “Hey (EW!)”, Marshall conversed about the endurance of the famously well-known finishing move. He expressed,
“I actually find pleasure when people mention the diamond cutter being passed down from Diamond Dallas Page because the reaction is pure hatred. They despise the fact that out of all the professional wrestlers globally, he singled me out. Hence, I feel a compulsion to keep stating this fact. So… for all the fans who are hooked in, DDP picked me. It could have been MJF, or anyone else. He chose me.”
Marshall elaborated further explaining that MJF, the present holder of the Dynamite Diamond Ring, had requested permission to employ the move but was refuted. He confirmed this by stating,
“In fact, MJF broached the subject and the answer was negative.”
Currently, MJF is caught up in a professional altercation with Roderick Strong and Adam Cole, and it is anticipated that one of them will compete against the former AEW World Champion at Full Gear.
Marshall collaborates with Cody Rhodes in the Nightmare Factory, a WWE ID associate. More on this can be found [here].
