QT Marshall has made revelations about his role in helping Jey Uso restore his hallmark for the word “Yeet”, when it became a point of dispute due to an earlier trademark application.
Back in December, the WWE was forced to remove Uso’s merchandise with the “Yeet” logo from their online platform. This action was triggered after it came to light that an independent performer, Kasey Huffman, took a step to trademark the term in 2021.
Contrary to expectations, the merchandise made a remarkable comeback swiftly. During a discussion on the “Gabby AF” podcast, Marshall mentioned that he was instrumental in settling the issue, thanks to his vast network of connections.
While recollecting his experience, Marshall stated, “Suddenly I saw that the t-shirt was back on sale, and then, just as swiftly, it was taken down. I got in touch with Cody and informed him, ‘I’m acquainted with the person who legally owns the term.’ He asked, ‘Do you believe you can contact this person?’ My response was straightforward, ‘Yes, I can reach out to him immediately.'”
Marshal further narrated, “I can’t exactly pinpoint how it occurred, but I managed to communicate with the said person and had a conversation with Cody. We all joined a group chat. In a short span of a day or two, Jey Uso was holding the trademark. It’s worth mentioning that the credit isn’t mine to claim.”
In other news, Jey made headlines last week on RAW, clinching a victory over Bron Breakker to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion.
