Throughout his recent guest spot on the “Gabby AF” podcast, QT Marshall shared that before his temporary departure from AEW in November of last year, he had made plans to enter the ring with TNA Wrestling.
Marshall made his way back to AEW by February this year.
During the podcast, he explained, “I have the freedom to wrestle for any promotion barring WWE. There was a phase when I was planning to join TNA and also work with Tony. Before I stepped away last year, Scott D’Amore and I had come to an understanding and Tony had agreed to cover my travel expenses. It was an amazing arrangement. However, Scott did not connect back and I wondered, ‘What’s happening here?’. Evidently, he was aware of what was in store, so he didn’t initiate contact. However, I am scheduled to wrestle for him for Maple Leaf Wrestling in a few weeks, which I am looking forward to.”
On a recent instalment of AEW Dynamite, a match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet ended ambiguously.
Ospreay took to Twitter to address the mixed reactions from fans, which seemed to diverge on social media.
His tweet read, “Man 8 years on and it still sparks emotion out of you guys. I appreciate the love & hate. It’s all criticism to take on board to help grow us as performers. But I think more is to come.”
