Qatar Pro Wrestling Hosting First International Event With Both AEW And WWE Talent

Qatar Pro Wrestling issued the following to WrestleZone promoting SuperSlam 3, an AEW and WWE names:

QPW to hold WWE and AEW talent in the same event

QPW will be the first international company to have both AEW and WWE talent in the same show:

QPW’s owner and promoter Ali Al-Marafi has just confirmed to Lucha Libre Online’s Michael Morales that QPW SuperSlam3 will be officially on February 26, 2022, at the Lausail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar with a capacity for over 20,000 people. They will have more than 25 international superstars in what will be the biggest pro wrestling event in the history of Qatar. WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart, will be making his Qatar debut as a special guest at SuperSlam 3.

Along with him, we will witness the return of other WWE Hall of Famers. Directly from WWE, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and six-time World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T. In the same event, directly from AEW, WWE and TNA Hall of Famer, The Icon, Sting. This will be the first time in an international event that we will see current WWE and AEW superstars working together.

In addition, Ali Al-Marafi confirmed that they will have an event at the FIFA World Cup in 2022 in Doha, Qatar. This will be held during December 2022. This will be the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup that we will witness a pro wrestling event in the same night of a football game.
