Puerto Rican Wrestling Legend Hercules Ayala Passes Away

The Cauliflower Alley Club confirmed this morning that Puerto Rican wrestler Hercules Ayala passed away yesterday evening.
Ayala (real name Ruben Cruz) was a popular talent who wrestled in promotions such as the WWWF and Stampede Wrestling most notably had his primary run in the WWC in Puerto Rico. Ayala faced the likes of another Hercules in Hercules Hernandez as well as challenging Ric Flair for the NWA World Title when The Nature Boy came to wrestle in Puerto Rico.
“We heard this morning that Ruben Cruz, better known to wrestling as Hercules Ayala, passed away last night due to heart issues at the age of 69. Born in Puerto Rico, Cruz wrestled all over the world, winning dozens of titles in his career. We offer our condolances at this time”
