Promotions Reluctant to Collaborate with LuFisto Due to AEW Affiliation

Wrestling promotions are hesitant to work with LuFisto in fear of getting on All Elite Wrestling’s bad side, according to the wrestler herself.

On Twitter, LuFisto said that her visa is coming to an end before claiming that her issues with All Elite Wrestling have left companies reluctant to book her. She said,

”It won’t surprise you if I tell you that many who were supposed to book me on a somewhat regular basis are not. It’s wrestling and it happens all the time. I’m also not dumb as I know some are not booking or talking to me anymore just in case it would ruin their chances/ relationship with AEW.

“I knew there would be some repercussions when I came forward with my personal story and stories from inside talents, since they are not allowed to talk. (OK, I admit that I never expected a coordinated online attack that would result in many people telling me to kill myself . It is what it is.

Last year, LuFisto hinted at backstage issues within AEW that were affecting the women’s division, whose booking has often been criticized by fans.

LuFisto also spoke about a toxic working environment within AEW. Several names in AEW, including women on the roster, disputed her claims.

Wrestling Promotions Hesitant to Work with LuFisto Due to Fear of Upsetting All Elite Wrestling

Professional wrestler LuFisto recently revealed on Twitter that wrestling promotions are reluctant to book her due to concerns about damaging their relationship with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). LuFisto, whose visa is set to expire in August 2024, expressed her frustration with the situation and the repercussions she has faced for speaking out about her issues with AEW.

LuFisto stated on Twitter, “It won’t surprise you if I tell you that many who were supposed to book me on a somewhat regular basis are not. It’s wrestling and it happens all the time. I’m also not dumb as I know some are not booking or talking to me anymore just in case it would ruin their chances/relationship with AEW.”

The wrestler acknowledged that she expected some repercussions when she came forward with her personal story and stories from inside talents, as they are not allowed to speak out. However, she admitted that she never anticipated a coordinated online attack that included people telling her to kill herself.

This is not the first time LuFisto has hinted at backstage issues within AEW. Last year, she suggested there were conflicts affecting the women’s division, which has faced criticism from fans regarding its booking decisions. LuFisto also spoke about a toxic working environment within AEW, but her claims were disputed by several individuals associated with the promotion, including women on the roster.

LuFisto’s visa situation adds another layer of complexity to her career. As her visa is set to expire in August 2024, she may face challenges in continuing to work as a performer and producer in the field of professional wrestling in the United States.

The fear of upsetting AEW and potentially damaging relationships with the promotion seems to be a significant factor in wrestling promotions’ hesitancy to work with LuFisto. This highlights the influence and power that AEW holds within the wrestling industry.

It is important to note that LuFisto’s claims and the reluctance of wrestling promotions to book her are based on her own statements and experiences. However, the situation raises questions about the potential impact of a dominant promotion on the opportunities available to wrestlers outside of their roster.

As the wrestling landscape continues to evolve, it is crucial for promotions to prioritize creating a safe and inclusive environment for all performers. Wrestlers should feel empowered to speak out about any issues they face without fear of professional repercussions. Additionally, promotions should strive to maintain healthy relationships with talent and avoid using their influence to limit opportunities for wrestlers who may have differing opinions or experiences.

LuFisto’s situation serves as a reminder of the complexities and challenges that exist within the wrestling industry. It also highlights the importance of transparency, open dialogue, and fair treatment for all wrestlers, regardless of their affiliations or associations.
