Given that it’s April Fool’s Day, it has got me thinking about wrestling-themed pranks and humoristic gags.
I’m not particularly known for preparing far-fetched pranks, as my comedy inclination gravitates towards puns and wordplays—what I deem to be witty observations. The farthest I’d go in terms of pranks is good-natured banter with friends, skipping the complex setups and gotchas.
So, our discussion prompt for today is, “Have you ever pulled a wrestling-related prank on someone, or do you have any funny ideas up your sleeve?”

As for my response…
The only humorous tradition that comes to mind is the long-standing gag I’ve had for over a decade now. Every time a friend mentions they don’t want any spoilers because they’re catching up with Raw at a later time or whatever, I invariably drop a hint of some big event in our group chat.
Usually, I maintain it general, like “Incredible, didn’t see that title change coming” or “Can’t believe who came back…and now?!”
Eventually, this evolved into a specific jest that I commonly use, saying, “Just saw Jinder Mahal turning into a babyface.” I’ve been doing this for so long that I can’t even remember why. Interestingly, this joke has caught on so well that others have also started using it to surprise me, and it’s hilarious every time.
As I mentioned before, I’m not really a prankster, so this is as far as I go with pranks. But I’m excited to hear what you guys have to share!
