The Netflix documentary chronicling the life and career of Vince McMahon, dubbed “Mr. McMahon,” is set to launch on Wednesday, September 25. This extensive series will probe into multiple accusations of sexual misconduct lodged against McMahon by numerous women over a span of years.
Dave Meltzer, from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, contributed his insights for the documentary. During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer shared that the documentary crew carried out a thorough investigation. They quizzed him exhaustively about McMahon’s life and career, with no detail overlooked. “I can affirm that the director, who helmed the documentary, probed in depth every single thing that I would anticipate anyone to delve into. Nothing was left unchecked” said Meltzer.
Meltzer also added, “I’m aware that there are people in WWE who have an issue with it. Wait and see. I can say with certainty that those who have a deeply-rooted dislike for Vince will be dissatisfied. They might be caught in a difficult situation as there might be plenty of content that applauds Vince. More likely than not, Vince’s admirers may also express their unhappiness…”
In further developments, Janel Grant’s legal representatives will be holding a press briefing this afternoon. Grant, a former WWE employee, has brought allegations against Vince McMahon for sexual assault and additional misconduct.
