AEW’s Jim Ross believes Dr. Martha Hart could change her stance regarding a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction for her husband Owen.

Since Owen’s tragic passing in 1999, Martha has kept distant from WWE and has reportedly turned down a potential Hall of Fame induction for the Rocket.

On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross was asked about Martha changing her mind given Vince McMahon’s exit from WWE. He said,

“I bet she could [change her stance]. Will she, is another question. Maybe the bigger question is, ‘Will she?’ I don’t know, I hadn’t thought of that. It’s a good question. It’s why these Q&As are so entertaining sometimes, you get questions that you don’t expect. So I don’t know. Good question, though. Good question. Time will tell. I can see it being able to be worked out a lot easier now that [Vince] McMahon is out of the picture. That was her roadblock, so we’ll see.

“Put it this way, it wouldn’t surprise me whatsoever. But I don’t have any information to change my philosophy of that. I thank with him gone, it increases the chances of Owen going in the Hall of Fame. God knows he’s deserving. That’s never been an issue. But if Martha likes it, and feels good about then comfort zone then why not? I think it’s great. She’s such a pleasure to work with.

“She’s not angry at pro wrestling anymore, doesn’t seem to me like. I mean, she’s heartbroken with how things happened to Owen like they did and as we all are, and have been. But I don’t know. It’s interesting, Connie, it’s a good question. Interesting, but I’d say that the odds of Owen being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame have increased immensely since Vince McMahon resigned his post.”

This year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will see Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, the US Express, Thunderbolt Patterson, and Muhammad Ali be inducted.

Lia Maivia is also expected to be announced and there have been rumors regarding the possible induction of Bray Wyatt following his passing in August 2023.

AEW commentator Jim Ross believes that there is a possibility of Dr. Martha Hart changing her stance regarding a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction for her late husband, Owen Hart. Since Owen’s tragic passing in 1999, Martha has distanced herself from WWE and has reportedly declined offers for Owen’s induction into the prestigious Hall of Fame.

During a recent episode of his podcast, “Grilling JR,” Ross was asked about the likelihood of Martha changing her mind now that Vince McMahon has exited from WWE. Ross responded by saying, “I bet she could [change her stance]. Will she, is another question. Maybe the bigger question is, ‘Will she?’ I don’t know, I hadn’t thought of that. It’s a good question.”

Ross believes that with McMahon no longer in the picture, it might be easier to work out the details and convince Martha to reconsider her decision. He stated, “Put it this way, it wouldn’t surprise me whatsoever. But I don’t have any information to change my philosophy of that. I thank with him gone, it increases the chances of Owen going in the Hall of Fame. God knows he’s deserving. That’s never been an issue. But if Martha likes it, and feels good about then comfort zone then why not? I think it’s great.”

According to Ross, Martha seems to have let go of her anger towards pro wrestling and is no longer holding any grudges. While she remains heartbroken over how things unfolded for Owen, Ross believes that she may be more open to the idea now. He described working with Martha as a pleasure and expressed his admiration for her.

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony for this year will see the induction of Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, the US Express, Thunderbolt Patterson, and Muhammad Ali. There are also rumors circulating about the possible induction of Bray Wyatt following his passing in August 2023. Additionally, it is expected that Lia Maivia, The Rock’s grandmother, will be announced as an inductee.

Only time will tell if Martha Hart will change her stance and allow Owen Hart to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, with Vince McMahon no longer in charge, the chances of Owen’s induction have significantly increased. Wrestling fans and enthusiasts eagerly await any updates on this matter.
