All signs point to CM Punk making a return to All Elite Wrestling after being away since September’s All Out pay-per-view.
The belief is that Punk will be put on the reported Saturday show, AEW Collison, which is expected to premiere in June, with the show being built around him. Punk’s return is tentatively being planned for June 21.
A meeting is planned between Tony Khan, Punk, FTR, Chris Jericho, and others.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Live, host Andrew Zarian revealed that Warner Bros. Discovery is aware of Punk’s return.
“The story here is that CM Punk is essentially happening,” Zarian said. “I know for a fact that Warner has been told he is coming back. They are very much aware of the situation.”
Zarian also noted that it had been alluded to that AEW is planning a feud with Jericho and Punk.
