It was officially announced on Wednesday that Komander had signed a full-time deal with AEW.

Komander lost to Jay White on AEW Dynamite this week. He previously made his promotional debut last month on Dynamite when he competed in the Face of the Revolution ladder match. He has also faced Sammy Guevara in AEW.

Komander joins Jay White in signing with AEW instead of WWE. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the guaranteed money offered by AEW may have swayed him over the uncertainty that a deal with WWE comes with.

“Komander really made sense because AEW generally offers far more to guys of that level as WWE would be expected to put him on an NXT deal with the idea that if you do make the main roster you’ll get good money, and there’s no guarantee of that main roster, and probably not for years,” Meltzer wrote.
