Ross also weighed in on The Rock vs. Roman Reigns happening at WrestleMania XL against rumors of the dream match potentially taking place at Elimination Chamber: Perth.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On The Rock vs. Roman Reigns potentially happening at WrestleMania 40: “I wouldn’t be surprised, wholeheartedly, but to some degree, yes. I think he’s gotta earn, if he’s gonna wrestle Roman Reigns, is Rock going to be a fan-favorite? He needs to do something, I think, other than just show up, even though he’s got the star power to show up. I was a little surprised that he’s back in the hunt for a spot. So we’ll see how it works out. I’m a fan. I signed The Rock. I was involved in his career since day one.”

On getting The Rock engaged in a storyline being a win: “But getting The Rock on TV and getting him pre-engaged in a storyline, and it seems like the Roman Reigns thing is a perfect place for him, it might not do Cody Rhodes fans a lot of favors because I still think some people are still a little miffed that Roman beat Cody at the last WrestleMania. So there’s gonna be another piece to the journey. There’s gotta be another stop-off, and winning the Elimination Chamber is one way to do it, man. But can you get another match? That means two matches out of The Rock, and is that going to happen? Time will tell, but like I said, getting him to commit to certain times is a win without question.”

The Rock’s Surprise Return to WWE: What It Means for Roman Reigns and WrestleMania 40

In a recent episode of the “Grilling JR” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross discussed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s unexpected return to WWE. The Rock made his comeback on Monday night’s ‘Day 1’ themed episode of RAW, where he confronted Jinder Mahal and hinted at a potential match with his cousin, Roman Reigns.

Ross also shared his thoughts on the possibility of The Rock facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, as well as rumors of the dream match taking place at Elimination Chamber: Perth.

Regarding The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, Ross stated, “I wouldn’t be surprised, wholeheartedly, but to some degree, yes.

Ross emphasized that getting The Rock involved in a storyline would be a win for WWE. However, he also questioned whether The Rock would be able to have two matches and if that would happen.

The Rock’s return to WWE has generated significant excitement among fans, and his potential match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 would undoubtedly be a marquee attraction. The Rock’s star power and charisma have made him one of the most beloved figures in professional wrestling history, and his involvement in a storyline with Roman Reigns could elevate the already intense rivalry between the two.
