Around last Friday, spectators noticed Cody Rhodes donning a neck brace at a popular gathering, a result of the ambush by Kevin Owens during the episode XXXVII of “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” Owens, unable to dethrone Rhodes at the event on December 14, retaliated with a package piledriver, leaving Rhodes in need of a stretcher. The neck injury was later described as “an axial compression and cervical strain accompanied by spasm.”
Days later, on December 20, Cody made an appearance at the Atlanta-based Naked Mind Yoga & Pilates event organized by Brandi Rhodes, noticeably sporting a neck brace – a deliberate move to emphasize the severity of Owens’ attack.
The timeline for Cody’s return to WWE television, dubbed as ‘The American Nightmare’, remains uncertain. Pictures of the WWE star can be seen below:
“An update for all WWE enthusiasts! The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, Atlanta’s very own, The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, is all set. We hope to see Cody Rhodes square off with Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, 2025. #WWERAW #SmackDown #WrestleMania.” – Latrell Phillips on Twitter.
