PHOTO: AJ Mendez (AJ Lee) Shows Off New Physique, Insists She’s Retired

AJ Mendez (AJ Lee) retired from in-ring competition on April 3, 2015, following a six-woman tag team match on WWE RAW. At the time, Mendez stated that permanent damage to her cervical spine, and the fulfillment of her goals led to her retirement.

Mendez joined the WOW – Women of Wrestling promotion as an executive producer in October 2021 and has provided color commentary for WOW’s syndicated weekly television program since last year.

Taking to Instagram, Mendez once again reiterated that she is not returning to the ring, labeling herself as a “retired athlete”.

Mendez appears in season two of Heels on STARZ, where she plays Elle Dorado.
