Professional wrestler, Penta El Zero Miedo, recently confronted speculations about WWE’s potential interest in him in a conversation with the media outlet, Comiendo Carnitas.

The AEW’s wrestling champion provided his insights on the prevailing updates of his AEW contract nearing its expiration by the end of the summer season and the rumored involvement of WWE. Here are some key takeaways from the discussion:

Commenting on the speculation regarding his contract, Penta said, “Actually, it was merely a rumor and I was never contacted by anyone directly or through my agent. It took its shape given that my current contract with AEW concludes around August – September this year. Surprisingly, I wasn’t even aware of it and got to know when my agent confirmed. In the era of Social Media, the accuracy of the information disseminated can often get distorted. I was perplexed how details about my contract expiry started flooding the internet. Frankly speaking, I would rather concentrate on my present, which is with AEW.”

If any big corporate like WWE approaches him with an offer, he would need to meticulously estimate it since a lot depends on him. “Many livelihoods, ranging from my merchandise teams, to those working at my restaurant, gym and school are linked to me and not only Penta. There’s nothing concrete present. However, if there occurs something visible, it needs careful scrutiny, figuring out what is more beneficial both in terms of finance and professional career. A metaphor was shared with me – it resembles playing for Barcelona while the real play should be for Real Madrid. Indeed, I can understand their viewpoint. But, being in the later part of my career, it would be my final prominent contract.” remarked Penta.

On probing further if he holds any interest in WWE, Penta cleared, “Certainly, a stint with WWE will serve as a valuable chapter in my professional journey. However, I prefer living in the present rather than clothed in fantasy. If it has to occur, it surely will. Currently, I am thoroughly consumed in AEW and am content with where I stand today. Like every player and organization, I have certain objections such as more emphasis on projection and rivalries.”
