Following a lengthy and successful stint in professional wrestling, Paul Wight, also known as The Big Show, is entering a new phase of his life. After a twenty-year career with WWE, Wight’s unexpected exit left many astonished. However, his wrestling journey did not end there as he joined the ranks of AEW in February 2021. In his new role, Wight acts as both an in-ring performer and a live commentator.
Earlier this year, an exciting reunion between Chris Jericho and Wight took place on the Chris Jericho Cruise. The duo stepped back in time, wearing their vintage attire, reminiscent of their WWE tag team days.
During the cruise festivities, Wight shared the news of his upcoming knee surgery with the fans. In March, using social media as his platform, he expressed his eagerness to get back to wrestling. By mid-July, the seasoned wrestler has yet to make his comeback under the spotlight.
Recently, Wight gave an update about his recovery on Instagram. He has returned to the gym, having undergone hip and knee replacement surgeries. His caption reflected his positive outlook,
“Today was a great day! Grateful. ❤️😎💪. Both knees both hips replaced. No pain! Well other than the hard work to get back into shape. That’s not egg shaped. lol.”
