Paul Heyman Says Christian ‘Ran Away’ To Escape Being A Target For Roman Reigns

Paul Heyman sure has a way with words and used his panache for pontification to further blur the lines as he referenced Christian Cage during last night’s Talking Smack.
Heyman sat at the Talking Smack desk to call out Edge and question his alliances as he noted the recent exit of his longtime friend and former tag partner.
“Edge, your best friend in this world knew he was going to become Roman Reigns’ target just to get into your head and what did he do? He ran away before Roman Reigns could target him,” Heyman said before tying Christian’s name into religious connotations. “How many of your ‘Christians’ need to convert before you realize it’s not smart to piss off Roman Reigns? You, Edge, have pissed off Roman Reigns.”
Edge and Christian reunited of sorts during this year’s Royal Rumble where it was the two former tag partners battling it out in the final four of the Rumble match, which Edge ultimately won. Cage had a big week as he stepped foot into Daily’s Place in Jacksonville to kick off his AEW career. As of this moment, AEW teased an upcoming feud between he and their World Heavyweight Champion, Kenny Omega. You can check out the Heyman clip below.
